I first met Lesley and David a few months before their original wedding date to discuss all details. Unfortunately, due to global pandemic, their wedding had to be postponed a couple of times. It was a very stressful and upsetting time for many couples. However the new date was confirmed and Lesley and David carried on with their wedding plans in hope nothing would change this time.
On a gorgeous summer morning, the day of their wedding, I met Lesley at their wedding venue, One Devonshire Gardens (Hotel Du Vin) in Glasgow, where she was getting ready for the day. Hotel Du Vin is a beautiful venue in West End of Glasgow. "We knew we wanted our wedding to be here when we saw it"- Lesley told me. I am not surprised why!
The preparations were going smoothly in a nice atmosphere with the bridesmaids adding some humour to the day. The sun was poking through the windows and the sound of the bagpipe was coming from the outside. However, the nerves started to kick in with first guests arrival. Lesley was becoming a little bit anxious of the day ahead, nevertheless she was equipped with the best maid of honour, Janis, who would ease her nerves with some humour.
When the time of the ceremony arrived, David waited impatiently for his bride. Once she arrived, he couldn't take his eyes off her. She looked stunning, indeed. After saying their I do's, everyone enjoyed some refreshments and we took some group and the wedded couple photos in scorching summer day. One Devonshire Gardens Hotel served us with plenty of shade to cool us down.
After the cake cutting, speeches and dinner, it was time for the First Dance. Then the evening continued filled with fun until late hours.
